The Groover Big Band is a young and contemporary big band, consisting of 20 students from TU Delft. The line-up consists of 5 saxophonists, 4 trombonists, 4 trumpeters, a drummer, bassist, guitarist, pianist and a singer. In the 17 years that this big band has existed, it has developed rapidly and has more than proven itself at, for example, Delft and Breda Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz in Switzerland, galas, weddings and other events. Under the direction of conductor Niels van Willegen, the band brings a varied program. From Classy swing, as sung by Frank Sinatra, to quiet ballads to dance romantically to. But also up-tempo Funk and dazzling Rock 'n Roll are not shunned in the shows. In a tuxedo with a pink bow, the Groover Big Band offers a stylish show in an energetic set that will not leave you uninterested for a moment.
